Signing into messenger failed with error code 80070005
I am having signing problem with my MSN Messenger. I am getting 80070005 error code. I have checked it if that is getting blocked by Windows firewall but isn't the case. I have noticed that if I sign in with admin account I can use MSN Messenger but this isn't the case if I use it with different account. Can you help me in this matter?

So in short you are only able to use MSN messenger via admin account whereas no other account is able to use it. This clearly indicates that you have some permission restrictions for your other accounts. To fix this problem clear server certificate revocation in Internet Explorer. Launch Internet Explorer, go to Tools menu and select Internet Options. Now go to Advanced tab and under Security, uncheck "Check for Server certificate revocation (requires restart)" check box. Press OK button. Now quit Internet Explorer.

You may even get error 80070005 if Windows Live Messenger contacts cache folder has been corrupted. To solve this delete this folder. Click on to Start, and select My Computer. Navigate to "C:\Documents and Settings\<Windows logon name>\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft" folder. Now search for Windows Live Contacts folder and delete it. Also look for "C:\Documents and Settings\<Windows logon name>\Contacts" and delete the Contacts folder

There are several possibilities to this kind of problem Are you using router for your internet connection? I would recommend you to reset your router to its factory defaults and reconfigure it once again. I would also suggest you to uninstall Windows Live Messenger and remove all the associated registries. Also try to clear the disk. Now reinstall it once again and see if it helps.

Go to Start and select Control Panel. Now click on User Accounts. Then click on Manage Users Accounts and go to Advanced tab. Click on Manage Password and remove all of the passwords in the list. Now close MSN Messenger and restart it once again. This time you should not face any login issue.
