Re: Security Update for the 2007 Microsoft Office System (KB976321
Again...I have no Office 2007 CD's because in August 2007 Microsoft only
allowed directly downloads of Office 2007. so I have no CD to install.
I also tried the direct download of the updates and they either failed again
or I was told the updates were already properly installed on my computer.
The problem is that the Microsoft Update program is malfunctioning and it is
not our computers. There is no failed installation that I can determine from
Microsoft's website telling me the download I requested is already installed.
The errors and the icon in your system tray will eventually go away on its
own.

Go to the Control Panel, click on User Accounts and turn it off. You'll have
to restart your computer, then install the updates. Once installed, go back
to the Control Panel and turn the User Accounts back on. It has worked for me
every time an Office 2007 update has failed.

PA Bear:
Thank you so so much for this post. I didnt have the disc bc it was
preloaded on a laptop that i bought less than a month ago... but the link to
manually download did the trick!
Thanx!
