imgburn problem
I am using an ImgBurn on my computer system on which i have installed a windows xp 64 bit operating system and i have a unknown problem while writing the Dual layer dvd by using an ImgBurn on my computer. Actually it shows my dvd burner as ÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿ ÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿ (D and the Disc ID: ÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿ-ÿÿÿ-255 and then it prompts me for formatting my DVD. Does anybody know what could be the problem here?

Re: imgburn problem
I did not got your problem exactly. There should be some kind of error given by an ImgBurn for what it have got failed to write the Dual Layered DVD. I would like to try it out for one more time then let me have an error like where it stops the burning process and what kind of error it returns. I guess there must be something wrong with your DVD itself.

Re: imgburn problem
It must be the problem regarding the DVD disc itself as i have seen this kind of issues many times on my DVDs. I used to it as i generally use cheap quality DVDs which are not much good and at the end they give this kind of results. You should try to burn the same DVD from some other computer system or any other software which helps you to find out if there is anything wrong with the DVD.

Re: imgburn problem
Apart from the DVD issue, It might be happening because of the firmware of your burner. It could be happening because of the burners firmware updated improperly or it might happen that you have not updated the firmware of your DVD burner. I suggest you to reinstall the firmware for your burner and then check that it happens again or not.

Re: imgburn problem
Have you been asked for taking any kind of back up before ImgBurn offers you to format the disc. If not then i do not think anywhere problem persist except an ImgBurn. I think you should uninstall the ImgBurn and then try installing it again and then do the way you have done for so many times. There might be something wrong with the registry settings regarding an ImgBurn installed on your computer.

Re: imgburn problem
There are lots of softwares which can do it which you are trying to do on your computer by using an ImgBurn. I think the problem is with an ImgBurn for which you have reinstall this program.
It might also happen that the DVD itself can cause this kind of problem. I guess you to use any other alternative software for burning the DVDs on your computer system.

Re: imgburn problem
It could be happening because of the DVD driver which you have installed on your windows xp operating system. You have to reinstall it so that your DVD drive can support up to its maximum extent. Make sure that you remove it completely first then begin with an installing a new one. You may use windows xp automated CD so that your computer automatically installs it.
