Looking for site replication software
I am having two system both are running with the Red hat and both are on the different location. I just wanted to set one as the primary and another one as the backup one. So that is i am Looking for site replication software which will synchronize both together on network. Both the system is having the local hard disk. Any help may be appreciated.
Re: Looking for site replication software
You can try out the GoodSync software for the replication purpose which you are looking for but let me tell you that you need a server also by which you can create a script and sent it to the another system, so that the system download the data after a certain time limit. For that you can use the Apache Server which is the best one for you.
Re: Looking for site replication software
As per your query i am suggesting you to download and use the dropbox which is having the feature to support the user to manage there data on multiple computer and having one access point. This tools is work like a box in which all then data is dropped and user can access the same with the network. So try the Dropbox for your issue.
Re: Looking for site replication software
Here i am giving you the detail about the working of the Dropbox on the Linux system. Hope you will like the same. The installer will perform the following actions:
- Install the open-source Dropbox plug-in for the Nautilus File Manager
- Adds Dropbox to your default repository for automatic upgrades.
- Downloads and installs the Dropbox binary.
To prevent Dropbox from adding the Dropbox repositories to your default sources list, use the following command in Terminal:
Code:
$ touch /etc/defaults/dropbox
