9.10 is causing static ip problems
Hello everyone, the Ubuntu 9.10 is causing static ip problems. When I was using the older versions of the Ubuntu, that is 9.04. I am not able to understand why this is happening with this particular operating system. Actually, the problems started after the restart was done using the following command:
sudo /etc/init.d/networking restart
If anyone has any idea about why the problems are being caused, then kindly help me with the solutions for the same.

Re: 9.10 is causing static ip problems
It will be better if you call your computer engineer to fix the Ubuntu 9.10 static ip problems. They will be able to look into the issue, that is what is causing the same and thus, will help you to provide the solutions for the same. So, they will be able to help you in configuring the ip too. If a solution for getting rid of such situations is available, then better use the same. If you try playing with your system without having much information about it, then there can be more problems, other than the current issue.
Re: 9.10 is causing static ip problems
I suggest you to try the setup of the Ubuntu 9.10 static ip, using the code given below:
Code:
nano /etc/network/interfaces
Now, type the code given below:
Code:
iface lo inet statoc
address 192.145.1.10
netmask 209.77.167.276
broadcast 209.77.167.276
gateway 206.143.345.14
I hope that your issues will be solved after doing this setup.
