The issue could be that the application or the driver that you are trying to install may be corrupt and hence you are not getting to work with application or the device well. It would be better that you check out for the new application driver or a good copy of the same. This would then help in sorting issue. Do check out. It is helpful.

The problem could be that the driver you are trying to install may not be compatible with Windows 7. So it would be better that you try to install the latest driver for the same. This would then help in sorting the issue that you have been going through. It would then help in making the issue be solved and hence the drive would then be able to function or cope well.

It could be that the application may have some compatibility problem then you need to install the compatibility tools for the same. Install compatibility tools for Windows Xp or Windows Vista under Windows 7 from the compatibility center. That would then make the issue to be sorted well. Do check out for the same it would then be able to work or function by installation of the driver.
