Is Core i3 good CPU for Gaming ????
Hi,
I'm planning to get a PC next week,i'm running in some confusions,
I've came up with two type of configs, please help me to short it out
1) Intel LGA775 Socket
CPU-Intel Core 2 Duo E7500 2.93 GHz 1066 3MB.
Motherboard-Intel DG45ID.
RAM-4 GB DDR2 800 MHz Kingston.
Hard Drive-Seagate 500 GB
Graphics Card-Nvidia GTS 250 1GB
PSU-cooler master 600W
1) Intel LGA1156 Socket
CPU-Intel Core i3 530 2.93 GHZ 4MB
Motherboard-Intel DH55HC.
RAM-4 GB DDR3 1333 MHz Kingston.
Hard Drive-Seagate 500 GB
Graphics Card-Nvidia GTS 250 1GB
PSU-cooler master 600W
Help me to decide among the above two.....
Personally I like the CORE i3, but is good enough for Gaming?

As far as processors are concerned there is not much difference in Core 2 Duo and i3 processors rather then the i3 processor is a bit more advanced Core 2 Duo processors. For gaming purpose on i3 processor you can make use of only one processor to enhance gaming experience. Also the i3 processor is more efficient in terms multitask then the Core 2 Duo processors.

Re: Is Core i3 good CPU for Gaming ????
i3 for sure, it is the latest one from Intel. It has been built to handle the programs that are more towards the multitasking side like a program that requires some applications to be working at the back to enable its smooth working. I would suggest you to go with i3, I'm sure you would not regret buying i3 for gaming.
