Password protect Mac at startup
Hello everyone,
I want to lock my mac at startup so that nobody can access it.
I would simply put a password on the pc startup, but I do not know how to do it.
I search the forum and I have not found the solution .. if you could help me.
Thank you very much for your kindness
Re: Password protect Mac at startup
If you use manual of mac and and search this topic in that, you'll find the answer with step wise procedure, I think it's: System Preferences -> Accounts and Set Login on start up or something like that. Check it out.
Enable password protection in startup of mac
Do the following to enable password protection in startup of your mac:
Go to System Preferences -> Security -> General -> Disable Automatic Login -> Close Preference Pane
Now in the next reboot of your Mac, you will be prompted to enter your username and password to login in your account.
Re: Password protect Mac at startup
- From Apple menu, select System Preferences.
- Select Security.
- Check the Disable automatic login checkbox.
- Now in System Preferences window. Select Accounts.
- Now choose Login Options. In Display login window as, select either List of users or Name and password.
