Windows 7 install from an SD card
Hello everyone!
I have been purchasing a mini pc (Giata Slim N-10) without cd/dvd. I created a bootable SD card with my Windows CD and seven with the tool Windows7-USB-DVD-Tool.exe , I have chosen to boot the card reader of MiniPC in the bios.
I have this error at startup: error \BOOT\BCD
I also tried by using: diskpart, list disk, select disk, clean, create partition primary, format FS = NTFS etc. ...
But still Same error. My windows CD works perfectly on my second pc.
What to do?
Boot\BCD Error on Startup
This error occurs when one of the following conditions is met:
- The Windows Boot Manager (Bootmgr) entry is not present in the data configuration boot (BCD) store.
- The Boot\BCD file on the active partition is damaged or missing.
Repair BCD store by Startup Repair option
Repair the BCD store by using the Startup Repair option. You can use the Startup Repair option in the Windows Recovery Environment to repair the BCD store. To do this, follow these steps:
- Place the installation disk of Windows Vista in the drive, then restart the computer.
- Press a button when prompted.
- Select a language, time, currency, and a keyboard or another input method, then click Next.
- Click Repair your computer.
- Click the operating system you want to repair, and then click Next.
- In the dialog box System Recovery Options, click Startup Repair.
- Restart the computer.
Re: Windows 7 install from an SD card
Have you tried without your software? I've always succeeded at once by a simple copy and paste the contents of the DVD media (on a USB stick). The formatting you've done via cmd is not compulsory. Have you tried a standard USB key?
how to install VMware on an SD card
Sure you can install from a USB key, since VMware works very well for this, for example, accepts img ISO to install the system you want, here, in this case, Windows 7 ... I also seeks to this on a eeepc with LinuxMint XFCE, but .. I do not know how to install VMware on an SD card, you guys any idea?
