The version or the copy of the software matters a lot in this sense. You need to check out for the thing that it supports the operating system very well. the software release make the thing to depend on its factors that whether it supports the features that is been required. So you need to look out which all thing can be associated with the same.

The compatibility matters too in such cases. It is essential that the application should be able to cope. For the thing that if there is some compatibility issues related you can install the compatibility tools for Windows vista and Xp under Windows 7 so that it may work under the same if it is compatible with other operating system. This should help you out. Install the compatibility tools form the compatibility center.

* Now under selective startup choose Hide all Microsoft services.
* Disable the services.
* Restart the system.
Now check for the conclusion or output.
Re: Pinnacle Studio issues with Windows 7
It is possible that the application may have been affected by some external force that is some malware or virus. You need to install or use some powerful tool that would be able to get the threat to be detected and to remove it from the system as well. This is very much necessary that it should work out for the thing very well. So look out.
Re: Pinnacle Studio issues with Windows 7
Try to reinstall the application and then try to make the things to work out for you. It is possible that the system may then respond well with the application that is malfunctioning or not able to work well. If there is any issues or bugs that is been appended to it may be removed with its uninstallation. So remove it form the add/Remove tool and then install the application again.

Have you checked compatibility?
Just an FYI for you.
It is always best to check with the software manufacturer FIRST. They will tell you if they have tested the product and the version, as well as whether or not it will work with Windows 7.
Check out the Windows 7 Compatibility site: (There you will find out about hardware and software compatibilty.)
http://www.microsoft.com/windows/com...s/default.aspx
There is a pulldown from which you can choose "hardware" and "software".
There are also some great articles, instructional videos and such to help with your Windows 7 at our Springboard site:

In any event a lot of the times, Vista drivers will work in lieu of Windows 7 drivers, however, it's not 100%!
As stated previously, it's best to have the Windows 7 certified drivers installed.
