How to install Windows 7 on new Laptop
I have a new laptop and can anyone help me to install windows 7 on a 250gb hardisk. how should I create the partition? I want it to be 125/125 what I should do with these partitions. thanks.

Well you have the 250 GB hard disk but you will not get the whole storage space of theis hard disk on your computer system. You will get around the 240-245GB of the storage space on your hard disk after installing the Windows 7 operating system. To install the Windows 7 operating system in new laptop, Insert the bootable windows 7 DVD in the DVD ROM of the laptop. Start the laptop and select the boot device as the DVD ROM from the bios settings of the system. The Bios settings depends upon the Maufacturer. Refer the user guide for this. Start the Installation and follow the procedure, Option will be given in between the installtion for the partition of the HDD. Do it accoeding to your need and finish the installation process.

Before creating a primary partition, no partitions must exist on the hard disk drive. Deleting a partition using the fdisk utility will remove all information and media from the hard disk drive. Check this thread for more information :
