Asus Eee PC 1005ha not supporting Windows 7
I am using Asus Eee PC 1005ha laptop. This laptop is really giving the expected performance. The browsing speed on internet through my Wifi connectivity is awesome. Also it sustains a good battery life for almost 9 hours. but the issue I am having is with upgrading the operating system. I initially bought it with Windows XP Home edition but when I tried to upgrade it to Windows 7 Home Edition it does not completes installation/
System Configuration of Asus Eee PC 1005ha
It would be great if you could provide the system configuration of your Asus Eee PC laptop which include Memory(RAM), Processor and Hard drive. As the issue can be because of the system's incompatibility to handle Windows 7.

My Asus Eee PC 1005ha laptop consists of Intel Atom N280 processor, 1 gigs DDR2 SO-DIMM RAM, 160 gigs hard drive. is has a display as 10.1" LED Backlight WSVGA Screen (1024x600). Is it enough to install Windows 7 or do I need to alter or modify anything.

Verify if the installation disc of Windows 7 Home edition is working properly or not. Try to install the disc on some other computer to check if it can complete the installation. Or else exchange the disc can see if you can complete the installation of Windows 7 for your Asus laptop.

Check if your laptop meets the basic system requirements listed for Windows 7 by Microsoft:
- Memory: 2GB (64-bit) / 1GB (32-bit)
- Processor: 1GHz or faster 64-bit (x64) processor/ 32-bit (x86)
- Graphic: DirectX 9 graphics device with WDDM 1.0 or higher driver
- Hard Drive Space: 20GB (64-bit) / 16GB available free space on hard drive.
