Enable "Auto-arrange" option in context menu
After installing windows 7 RC i have noticed that i am unable to arrange the icons or folder with the image in windows explorer. The auto-arrange feature in the Sort context menu which use to arrange the folder with image or picture is disable. Does nay one know why there is no "Auto-arrange" option in context menu.
Re: Enable "Auto-arrange" option in context menu
To arrange icons by name, type, date, or size, right-click a blank area on the desktop, and then click Arrange Icons. Click the command that indicates how you want to arrange the icons (by Name, by Type, and so on). change your folder views first. auto-arrange only works when you're viewing icons, not in list mode. If you want the icons to be automatically arranged, click Auto Arrange. If you want to arrange the icons on your own, click Auto Arrange to remove the check mark.
Re: Enable "Auto-arrange" option in context menu
Open My Computer. Right-click in an empty space and check Autoarrange. Set the folder as you would like all your folders to be, then open Tools, Folder Options, View and click the "Apply to all folders" button. If no icons appear on your screen, right-click anywhere on the Desktop, select Active Desktop, and select Show Desktop Icons.
Re: Enable "Auto-arrange" option in context menu
Auto arrange is only available when the files are listed all across the window (like in icon view), and auto-arrange feature is used by default in Windows 7 and cannot be turned off. If there is No "Auto-arrange" option in context menu them you no to do system restore. System Restore takes "snapshots" of critical system files and some program files and registry settings and stores this information as restore points.
