Re: Mini-itx vs micro-atx
Mini-ITX is a 17 x 17 cm (or 6.7 x 6.7 inches) low-power motherboard form factor developed by VIA Technologies. The maximum size of a microATX motherboard is 9.6 inches x 9.6 inches (244 mm x 244 mm), but some microATX boards can be as small as 6.75 inches by 6.75 inches (171.45 mm x 171.45 mm). The standard ATX size is 25% longer, at 305 mm × 244 mm (12" wide x 9.6" deep).Mini-ITX is slightly smaller than microATX.
Re: Mini-itx vs micro-atx
Mini-ITX is a compact motherboard configuration designed to support relatively low-cost computers in small spaces such as in automobiles, set-top box es, and network devices. The dimensions of the micro board itself is around 18cm x 20cm and the mini atx is slightly bigger, usually around 22x 20cm.The Mini-ITX can also be used in making thin client computers.
Re: Mini-itx vs micro-atx
Mini-ITX is small. It's about as long as the I/O panel of a regular ATX mobo. Micro ATX is much bigger then Mini-ITX. The Mini-ITX was developed by VIA Technologies. Most modern ATX motherboards have five or more PCI or PCI-Express expansion slots, while microATX boards typically have only four.
