Firefox icon disappears in Windows 7
Hi,
Recently I have Windows 7 (64 bit) installed and then Mozilla Firefox 3.5.5. Whether I set the shortcut to make my taskbar or icon on the desktop let alone the same result : Firefox icon disappears. The funny thing is that when I look at the properties of the shortcut, a link is placed on the shortcut icon appears with the curved arrow in it. So far Firefox is the only application with this problem.

I think system restore might solve your problem, is quite fast and efficient and should not lose your files, modify the registry is dangerous and can cause system instability, I wouldn't advice, if this fails, you could also the tray to clear the connection and create a new one, hope this helps.

This may be due to a adware or spyware.
Install and run an Malwarebytes Anti-Malware, to clean your computer.
or press Ctrl + Alt + Delete buttons to enter the task manager.
Click the new task and type explorer and hit enter.
This should fix the problem.

System must have hide Firefox icon as an inactive icon on Windows 7 computer. Check if you have "Hide inactive icons" enabled on the properties of the taskbar. It is always a possibility. To do that, simply right-click an empty space on your taskbar and select Properties. It is possible that the icon must be in the inactive list. In order to remain on the active list, Windows actually expects you usually click the icon on routine purpose otherwise, does not believe that you are using.
