Java application for S40 camera led torch
I would like to know that it is possible for me to create a java application, that uses the camera led lamp as a torch? Is there an inherent difficulty in the s40 that make it impossible to create a java application? Is it possible for me to do so? Does any body knows about it? Please provide me the correct solution for the above issue.
Re: Java application for S40 camera led torch
I think that the camera's flash does not have any public API, so using it with public SDK would then be rather impossible. You do not have access to the flash led of the camera from Java currently. The AMMS spec (JSR-234) contains FlashControl, but that API is not yet implemented on Nokia devices.
Re: Java application for S40 camera led torch
Flash led is controller by CCamera SetFlashL() method in C++. Not that because of some legistlation issues you might not be able to force off the capture indication flash.S40 does not allow the user or any application (MIDlet) access the controller of the flash more than if it should be used when taking a picture or not (or auto).
Re: Java application for S40 camera led torch
Is there API to control the camera LED light, so I could turn the LED light on and use my phone as a torch light? And that should be 3.2 or 5.0. The example class CLightController contains methods to reserve and release light targets, set light target to on, off, or blinking, and it also receives notifications about light target status changes by implementing the interface MHWRMLightObserver.
