Vista to Windows 7 upgrade install failed
I am currently using Vista SP2 32 bits. I bought Windows 7 family edition. I wanted to make update from vista to 7. The report/ratio of the adviser was good, during upgrade install everything was fine till 63% and then installation started again and i got the error message saying “transfer of the files, “the upgrade towards Windows 7 failed, restoration of Windows Vista .....” Have any idea, what wrong i did here?
Re: Vista to Windows 7 upgrade intall failed
Why you performing upgrade install? you can perform a clean install and applications that you are using in vista will be run without any issue in compatibility mode of windows 7.
Re: Vista to Windows 7 upgrade intall failed
You saying that the report/ratio of the adviser was good. You talking about which adviser? Use this : Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor or is it the adviser integrated into the DVD of 7? From where you bought this installation cd?
