How to connect PS2 to tv using HDMI
Recently i had just bought a new Tv. I also have an old PS2 at home. Now i would like to know that how can i connect my old PS2 to my new tv using HDMI? is it possible for me to do so? Let me know the correct way of doing it, if possible. Any kind of help on the above topic would be appreciated.
Re: How to connect PS2 to tv using HDMI
No, as far as I know there is no HDMI cable for the PS2. The HDMI Cable supports all Standard (SD) and High Definition (HD) video resolutions up to a staggering 1080p, and transmits audio from stereo to 8-channel digital surround sound. The native resolution of the screen is an unusual 1366 x 768 but if it has a PC socket it should be able to display the output from sources such as a VGA converter box used with games' console.
Re: How to connect PS2 to tv using HDMI
You can't. The PS2 does not support HDMI connections. The best thing would be to hook the PS2 up with component cables. Essentially it converts an anlog signal into a HDMI one and is compatible with PS2, Xbox and Wii. It promises to let us enjoy "brilliant, Colorful and Sharp video output on your HDTV."
Re: How to connect PS2 to tv using HDMI
HDMI is a High Definition format, a PS2 is not High Definition console so there is no benefit. No HDMI, the PS2 doesn't even have an HDMI port. You have to use a PS2 component cable.
