Cannot Install Java in Windows 7
Hi,
I had downloaded JAVA from internet and when I am running the setup a error pops up denoting 2203. This shows up that I am not able to install Java in my system. I am using Windows 7 in my laptop and for running some application I need to install JAVA in it. But on the other hand JAVA setup is not working. What to do here to fix this issue. Thanks in advance.
Re: Cannot Install Java in Windows 7
First remove any old of JAVA if you have any from your system. Then follow this simple steps. To register a DLL file open command prompt. You can do this by clicking on Start (Orb) > type cmd in the search box. Then in the resulting windows type the following command - regsvr32 jscript.dll & regsvr32 vbscript.dll. Hit enter and restart your computer. Then run the setup again.
Re: Cannot Install Java in Windows 7
In order to run the update you will have to first reset setting of Internet Explorer 8 if you are using. This is very essential to run the update. First remove all the add-ons from IE and set everything to default. After that click on Orb and in the search box type inetcpl.cpl. Press enter. Int he windows go to Advance and click on reset. Again click on Delete personal settings and click on reset again. Close it and restart your system. Again run the setup.
Re: Cannot Install Java in Windows 7
It is possible that the setup file you are trying to run might be corrupted or of wrong version. That means it is not supporting Windows 7. See the below link and download a fresh copy of the application. Then run the setup. The below file supports till Windows Vista. So it will work on Windows 7 also. If this does not work then visit JAVA site to download the current update. Download JAVA
