Re: HP Pavilion tx2635 tablet pc display issue
According to me, you should try to reinstall the Device Driver on your HP Pavilion tx2635 tablet pc. This is normal for all notebook lcd's and many desktop flat panel lcd's with the exception of the high end models which do a very good job of reducing distortion when stretching images smaller than the native resolution.

If you can't see anything at all unless an external is hooked up, then it could be the motherboard, inverter, or lcd panel problem. Try updating the graphics card by installing a latest clean graphics driver by going to the official Hp website and then download the latest drivers on your system.

Restoring your system won't have any effect on it since you've indicated an external monitor worked fine with it. In my personal opinion HP should fix this problem no matter whether the product is under warranty or not because it is manufacturing defect.
