Define the format of a cell in excel 2003
I have a table of data on employee in excel 2003, I would like to predefine the format for entering my cell or at least an entire range of cell (column). For example, when I write a bank account number, I would not have to enter dashes 001-5555555-56 but unable to enter the numbers and format, No account is registered automatically. Same for the phone number... Thank you for your help.

For example, you should go to format cells, number tab, custom and data fit into the "type" ###-#######-##, in this line you will have more to type the number without dashes, they'll automatically save.

Defining cell names in Excel is done by highlighting the cell, going to insert on the menu and selecting name and define. Cell is formatted as number. There is no formula applied to the cell(s).Go to the Format Menu and select Cells. Click on the Number tab and select Custom from the list. You can see all the different custom formats Excel offers.
