How to load an External SWF in Flash
I want to load a pre-built flash player that I have the source file and completed swf for. I would also like to suggest that I want swfs to upload when I click on the button situated on it. I think that I need to use loadmovie for this, but where do I assign the action script--on a frame, on an empty movie clip?
Re: How to load an External SWF in Flash
Multiple SWF files can be played in succession without making the browser load another HTML page. This avoids the pause or refresh of the page associated with reloading. There are several different methods in which the external file can be loaded into a Sprite. The most typical methods are either through user interaction such as a button being pressed, or on a specific frame through an onFrame event. Because a project can be broken up into multiple movies, the individual SWF files are smaller in size. Smaller files load faster, and manage memory more efficiently.

To load multiple external SWFs, declare different variables for each one - this code loads 3 SWFs. There are several different methods in which the external file can be loaded into a Sprite. The most typical methods are either through user interaction such as a button being pressed, or on a specific frame through an onFrame event. of course, be sure to stae each X and Y location so they don't load on top of each other ( without x and y locations declared, they load at the same default location of x=0 and y=0
Re: How to load an External SWF in Flash
I've done some research and found that the movie clip has to be loaded before you can define the size. This works fine, except for the unload issue. The unload issue is that, I've gotten some code that uses the onEnterFrame, but I think my syntax is off. each button loads another movie into the main. these are the movies which I want to unload when i click on the close button placed on them.
