Using Multi-core Processor to Load windows Faster

Hello , i have a Intel Core2 duo processer e7200 , my windows xp loading seem to be really slow during the boot and during other part of startup process , i dont understand why this Happen , as i have a core2duo processer and 2gb ram , still the startup is slow , can you tell me how can we use the multi-core processor to load the windows faster , please help me thanks in advance

Disable Indexing Service The Indexing Service is a major consumer of resources.
To disable it:

• Expand the Start Menu
• Click on Run
• Type "services.msc" (without the quotes).
• Right click on "Indexing Service" and click "Properties"
• In "Startup Type", select "Disable"
• Click Apply, then OK

Microsoft offers a tool called BootVis to optimize the speed of Windows startup: Download bootVis.and install it , To run an optimization, simply click on "Trace" menu and then click "Next boot + Driver. Bootvis proposes to restart the computer. After rebooting, Bootvis is restarted automatically and displays statistics on the activities of the computer to boot in graphical form.
It is possible to optimize the work done at startup by clicking on "Trace" menu and selecting "Optimize System".

By default ,all the core of your multi-core processor (Core 2 Duo, QuadCore, Core i7, Phenom X2, Phenom X4, ...) are theoretically used to start Windows in some cases, they are not enabled. To gain a few precious seconds to boot Windows, you can force Windows to use the full power of your CPU.

1. Click the Start button.
   
2. In the search field, type the command msconfig and press Enter.
   
3. In the System Configuration window that appears, open the Startup tab.
   
4. Select the Windows Vista if you have a multiboot and click the Advanced button.
   
5. Check the box number of processors and scroll down the list. Select the highest figure which corresponds to the number of cores your processor.
   
6. Click OK.
   
7. Check the box Make permanent all startup parameters and click OK.
   
8. Click the Yes button.
   
9. Finally, click on the Restart button to apply the change. If all your processor cores are not used, you can earn up to ten seconds to boot your computer.

Click Start, and then click Run.
Type msconfig, and then click OK.
The System Configuration Utility dialog box is displayed.
Click the General tab, click Normal Startup - load all device drivers and services, and then click OK.
When you are prompted, click Restart to restart the computer.
