Re: Kern protection failure
It is a generic error message for all kinds of error. Have you put plug-ins such as Magic Bullet filters in your project. I have a recurring problem where the application of these filters are sometimes corrupt a file on the point that whenever I click on the clip in the montage-chronological FCP farm. To fix it, I just delete the clip in the montage-chronological and cross-checked from the original. Do not know if that's your problem, but I mention it.
Re: Kern protection failure
I have tried several techniques: AppleHardwareTest, Suppress files preferences affected application. I tell myself that at least the file application.crash.log describe precisely what happens, but should it be read.
I want to know if I have anything new. Well I do not have too many illusions, the Apple media tends to eliminate everything that touches on issues too sensitive. I think the good old method of re-formatting is required ...let see
Re: Kern protection failure
I try to export a Final Cut short sequence using quicktime conversion, and each time it receives about 30% completed, Final Cut stops and the error report says:
Exception: EXC_BAD_ACCESS (0x0001)
Codes: Kern_protection_failure (0x0002) at 0x00000000
I tried to change projects, scratch disks, and export formats, But Final Cut still firm. This problem just started today. I have done many times before without problems.
