I've never configured extra mouse buttons on linux but i have done it on Windows for game playing and so on. Well i don't even know if that is possible? Or may be i'm too ignorant to know that. :whistling Wait for some expert to comment... :ohyeah:
Re: How to configure logitech mouse buttons on ubuntu?
Yeah, in ubuntu you have some software which lets you configure these mouse buttons for custom use. I don't remember the name though, a friend of mine used it a long time back. Wait for someone else to reply. I'll search its name and post back in a while... :thumbup1:

On Ubuntu, you can use locomo to setup the custom configurations for your extra buttons of your mouse. Just open terminal and type :
Code:
sudo apt-get install lomoco
Hope this helps!

The most easiest software to configure your mouse button on ubuntu according to me would be btnx. Download btnx from spt-get. Its already in the default repositories of ubuntu. all the best!
