Yahoo! Messenger 10 Beta available
The beta version of Yahoo! Messenger 10 has been officially released by Yahoo with improvements and lots of new and interesting features. The most features are the improved Video and Voice experience with support for full-screen video. With its new “Updates” you can view latest friends’ updates from Yahoo!, Flickr, Twitter and more, and ability to change preferred language with just a few clicks. Yahoo Messenger 10 beta has also ability to send text messages (SMS) to mobile phones for free and also comes with a built-in media player to watch web videos and view photos with friends. The contact list is also improved. The normal contact is now displayed in status messages from contacts, or your choice, you can Twitter their status or other social power also add updates. Plus you now have more ways to organize your contacts.According to Yahoo, is what the webcam feature completely redesigned to allow users the demand of high quality video to audio right in the IM windows synced.You can even go full-screen with your video call. Yahoo! Messenger 10 Beta has the ability to swap video windows, position the video windows side-by-side, mute the call or place it on hold. You can even go full-screen with your video call. To get started, click the new “Video Call” button in the IM window.Note that the friend you video call has to also be on Yahoo! Messenger 10. And these video enhancements are just for 1:1 video calls; broadcasting your webcam to multiple viewers (with no audio) has not changed.
To help you keep up with your friends, Yahoo has added an alternate view of your contact list that shows a real-time stream of their updates, including Messenger status message changes. If they’ve opted-in to share their updates via Yahoo!, you’ll be able to see what they’re saying on Twitter, reading on Yahoo! Buzz, listening to on last.fm, and more.
Within the new “Yahoo! Updates” view, you’re sure to find more to talk about with your friends. To make it easy, they have added a hover menu that lets you quickly IM a friend about their update. When you do, the update appears inline in the conversation window, so when you start your IM with “I can’t believe you said that!”, your friend will know what you’re talking about. When you just get logged in Yahoo Messenger 10 Beta, you will see a new language menu on the screen say. You have the option to choose from 16 different languages and the buttons, the menus and various parts of the interface into that language. If you already are signed in, you can use your language under Messenger > Preferences > Language.
Just Click Download Now to begin downloading and installing Yahoo! Messenger 10 BETA.When prompted, save the .exe file to your desktop. Then double click the Yahoo! Messenger 10 BETA file on your desktop to begin installation. If you do not want the Yahoo Toolbar and the Yahoo browser plus installed, make sure to choose the “custom” install
