Hi,, presently i am using Windows Xp and planning to upgrade it. Now as you all know for upgrading it is much necessary to know which motherboard am using. As all drivers or application depends on the model and manufacturer of the same. Now i don't know which is mine as it is assembled by one of my friend. Could yo guys please suggest me any idea of finding out what motherboard i am using ? Thanks in advance.
FOr finding out my motherboard's manufacturer and Model number, i used an application called Belarc Advisor. builds a detailed profile of your installed software and hardware, missing Microsoft hotfixes, anti-virus status, CIS (Center for Internet Security) benchmarks, and displays the results in your Web browser. All of your PC profile information is kept private on your PC and is not sent to any web server. It creates a local Web page and does not send up your PC profile to a Web server or anywhere else.

There are lots more softwares available to download online that can help you to find out what motherboard you are using. You can also try HWMonitor Pro, Sandra, Everest, etc.. All this applications will tell you everything you want to know about your computer. Other then that, you can open up your case and try and figure it out your self.
Well, Belarc worked for me. I just found out every details that i needed.
