Is there an app that will allow you to turn iPhone sideways n text message, just like the safari browser. I tried the app "Sideways" but it didn't really work the way I wanted to anyone know the right application. Anyone know how or what app would make this work!!
No. there is no such application, Landscape mode by default has not been enabled for SMS messaging nor on the native email application. The keyboard only goes in landscape mode in safari. There is a application called Irealsms but doesn't work on 2.1 and no to mention it encrypted your incoming messages to the point where you couldn't see them.
To turn the text sideways on an iphone, you need to ensure that the texts being aside ONLY IF your iphone is jailbroken. You can download a program called IrealSMS of vertical text.
There is an application for iTunes that lets you vertically, it is expected that sooner or later leave with a program thats compatible for the text!
There are plenty of 3rd party apps that will let you do this for SMS and Mail. I agree the whole UI should be in landscape not just one or two apps. I feel that apple is working on it. My new Blackberry Storm, it allows you too and the viewable screen on it is smaller. The Iphone would appeal to more people not to mention make current users happier.
