Place a link in the middle of a webpage
Hi,
I just forgot some tags in HTML coding. I had designed a small web page. I am a newbie in this so I have some doubts. They are how to place a link at the half way down a page. That means if the user scroll the page down he can see the link. And what is the requirement to put the html file as a webpage. Means to open it by typing some www blahblah dotcom. How to add a download on the webpage. I want to add some Flash games. Thanks in advance for suggestions.
Re: Place a link in the middle of a webpage
I am listing you some sample code so that you can view your html file as a web page. First of all whenever your give a .html extension Windows automatically assign a application to it. The icon of the file will change to your default browser. The best way to do this use a textarea tag and put everything in that. Like for example - <textarea rows="4" name="html" cols="50"><a href="http://www.yourwebsite.com/">The heading </a> your entire body content and text of file</textarea>. Hope this can help.
Re: Place a link in the middle of a webpage
To place the link half a way down to the page you will have to use the href tag and the hyperlink path which you want to put. Basically the web browser does not counts the empty space. So if you have a content then place the href link to the center of the content. The tag for the same is <a href="Complete path of the link">Name of the Link</a>. Otherwise you can also use anchor tag to place the link on desired location.
Re: Place a link in the middle of a webpage
In order to upload your website and to add a download link you will need a FTP server for both. The FTP server stands for File Transfer Protocol which is like a warehouse to your files. When the user click on the download button the file is retrieved from the FTP location. Or if you want to see how your website work then you can download a FTP server load the file on it and then view your webpage.
