Initial programming required message on verizon phone
Hi,
I have verizon XV 6900 phone but i found some hardware issue so i send it back to verizon and got the new one, Now when i turn on my phone i get this message "Initial Programming Needed!" does anyone have a clue as to what's wrong or what i can do to fix it ?
Re: Initial programming required message on verizon phone
Its a common error, You need to take it to the shop from where you bought your plan and they will do it for you. The new phone which you got has not been programmed yet. so you will have to contact verizon Call Verizon (800-922-0204) and have them activate the new phone. They will then have you program the phone by calling *228 and choosing option 1 to program the phone.
Re: Initial programming required message on verizon phone
Initial programming required message means that there is no number programmed into the phone. You need to activate the number on your phone ,the only call you can make would be 911 or any other emergency number, you'd have to go into a store and have them put your number on the phone.
Re: Initial programming required message on verizon phone
Initial programming required, this message on your XV 6900 phone is normal, because You have CDMA network of verizon Meaning your phone needs to be programmed for the first time with the proper MDN (mobile directory number) and the MSID. mobile directory number will enable your verizon XV 6900 phone to connect to the network to make and recieve calls.
