Re: What is filterpipelineprintproc.dll?
Have you tried reboot? Normally the folders created in windows drive gets deleted automatically after the very next reboot. Whats the name of the folder? and also try simply change permission and delete.
Re: What is filterpipelineprintproc.dll?
Scan you system with antivirus? have you already done the full system scan, usually windows update folders doesn't create any harm and you can ignore them also, Neel23 said right windows deletes them automatically by its self.

What you have to do:

- Login als administrator (some have a password, some not -> youre own dissission)
- go to the foldername.
- right click with the mouse on the folder en go to properties.
- then go to the second tab (security)
- give yourself the full permissions.
- then go to the folder and you can delete it.
P.s. make sure you are logged in as administrator.
Re: What is filterpipelineprintproc.dll?
This file nor the folder in which it is located cannot be deleted as it was a MS Update, however you can remove the update by restoring your computer to the date / time prior to the installation.
1 - Right click on the file or folder and go down to "Properties.
2 - Note or write down the date the file or folder was "Created".
3 - Click on the "Start" button
4 - Go to Programs
5 - Go to Accessories
6 - Go to System Tools
7 - Click on System Restore
8 - Select "Restore my computer to an earlier time" and Click Next.
9 - Select the date / time prior to the installation of the update.
10 - Read and follow all the instructions carefully, it's very easy.
Note - You have the luxury to "Undo" these steps by repeating steps 1 - 7, and by selecting "Undo my last restoration".
Re: What is filterpipelineprintproc.dll?
I had the same problem with Windows XP Home SP3.
What worked for me was to go to My Computer, Select the appropriate hard drive ( C: ), go back and open the Shared Documents folder, move the offending folder from C: into the Shared Documents folder, finally it would let me delete it from the Shared Documents folder.
Hope this helps.
Re: What is filterpipelineprintproc.dll?
This is basically a virus or a threat that is been affecting the system. You need to run a scan check for the same using a good antivirus tool that is Quick heal antivirus. This may help you in sorting the issue.
