What is the difference between DVD5 and DVD9
I have a bunch of movies which I want to burn in disc. Now I want to ask that what is the difference between DVD 5 and DVD 9. The thing I know about this that DVD 5 stands for single layer and DVD 9 stands for double layer disc. What which one is better that both. I am thinking to burn the disc in DVD 9 mode. Any suggestion really appreciated.
Re: What is the difference between DVD5 and DVD9
Yes are some what right to some extent. DVD 5 means single layer burning DVD while DVD - stands for dual layer burning. But there are some pros and cons of both. The main difference is that DVD 9 eats up more space. It needs a larger disc or sometime two disc. While DVD 5 can be used single. But with standard data durability.
Re: What is the difference between DVD5 and DVD9
Simple saying DVD 5 is a acronym that stands for a DVD disc which is one sided layer disc. This layer contains upto 4.38 gb of data on it. Then DVD 9 stands for a dual layer disc that can hold upto 7.95 gb of data. The DVD 9 offers more data storage capacity and durability. I will stick with DVD 9 because it give more data storage capacity.
Re: What is the difference between DVD5 and DVD9
It just two types of DVD disc which is defines on the base of storage. Like DVD 5 is a simple single layer disc which is commonly available and handles upt o 4.7 gb data. The data is burned on a single layer. On the other had DVD 9 had dual layer which gives you more storage capacity. This DVD's are usually used in common commercial video and and audio.
