What is the location of startup programs in Windows Registry
This is very basic thing which I am asking but may be quiet useful to most of us like me. I would like to know where can I get the startup programs on my system from Windows registry? Please help! I want to make my computer boot faster and so thinking of to stop many of the unknown and useless applications to run in the background.
Re: What is the location of startup programs in Windows Registry
Usually the registry keys are loaded in the following order:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\RunServicesOnce
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\RunServices
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\RunOnce
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\RunOnce
Re: What is the location of startup programs in Windows Registry
There are number of ways to make your computer boot faster such as you can DISABLE INDEXING SERVICES, DISABLE UNNECESSARY SERVICES, OPTIMISE DISPLAY SETTINGS, DISABLE PERFORMANCE COUNTERS, SPEEDUP FOLDER BROWSING and much more. Just see the below guide.

Re: What is the location of startup programs in Windows Registry
You can improve your computer booting speed by some processor tweak, using some registry tweaks or following some of the basic operations. You can even use some registry cleaner to remove unwanted entries from your Windows Registry.
