Windows XP undock option is missing from Start Menu
I am having an HP laptop running Windows XP. It is attached to a docking station. Now I want to undock it, but the problem is that the Start Menu is missing the icon to remove it. Is there any one who can show me a way to get undock option in Windows XP which is missing currently from Start Menu?
Re: Windows XP undock option is missing from Start Menu
Try this registry hack to undock your computer from Start menu:
1. Go to Start, Run and type "regedit". Press Enter.
2. Look for "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer"
3. Right-click on an empty area and click on "New" and then select "DWORD" Value
4. Give the name as "NoStartMenuEjectPC".
5. Give it a value of "1" to show the Undock PC option.

Thank you my friend but I am unable to get what I you said. I mean I followed what you said but it still didn't worked. Is there something that I am missing or I misunderstood the things? Can you be more clearer?

I think you don't have any user accounts and currently you are on administrator account. The things goes different if you only have one account in Windows. Just try to do the same thing under "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE". May be it works, but I'm not so sure
