How to replace hard drive in hp pavillion 6000?

I am new to the laptops & its components.
My friend have a hp pavillion 6000 & his hdd is gone bad. I want to know How to replace hard drive in hp pavillion 6000?

I am having a problem with my hp pavillion 6000. Till last night It was working fine. Today morning I tried to boot it out of sleep mode mode but its not working.
Well I can here the normal voice of startup like fans are moving leds are on but it do not show me anything on the screen.
Can you suggest me what should I do?

I hope your laptop is in warranty. If it is take it to your hp service center.
If you wish to troubleshoot the problem on your own, then

1. First remove the battery from the laptop, Now unplug DC jack/AC adapter.
2. Press the poweron button for around 30 sec.
3. Now attach the battery plug in DC jack/AC adapter.
4. switch on the laptop as normal.

Tell me what you get I hope this helps.

To replace the hard disk, I think you need to go to the hp site.
Contact them I am sure they will listen to your problem & replace the hard disk ASAP. I know they are quite fast with the service.
Create a backup disk for your friends laptop & take backup of all the necessary files.
