How do I connect my cable box to hdtv
Hi,
I have an HD Comcast Cable Box and a Sony Wega LCD HD TV. I recently purchased a Toshiba DR400 DVD Recorder with HDMI output. Is it possible for me to buy this stuff and use my PC on my TV? What cables would i need to make this happen ? How do I connect my cable box to hdtv ???
Thanks in advance.

If your HTIB handles HDMI audio, then you can go "through" it for video and use the HTiB for audio. But a better solution would be to get an HD Tivo and get rid of the HD cable box, but, of course, that would cost a little money. Well, I use HDMI for video and the digital out red/white plugs for my external sound system.

To connect your cable box to hdtv, from the rogers pvr to the HDMI input of the HTiB and connect a HDMI cable from the HTiB (output) to the tv. They vary in quality according to the provider, some are pretty close to broadcast quality, but you need a better connection to the box than coax. You will be able to tune the analog channels and any unencrypted QAM channels.

You can connect the cable to the HTiB and connect the HDMI cable to the tv from the pvr. The best thing is to use a good A/V receiver as the central signal switcher and connect its HDMI output to the TV with a single cable. My HD cable box offers digital audio out, and directly to my receiver.
