Overclocking Q6600 with best fsb / ram 4GB
hi
i am interested to overclock my Q6600 + ram 4GB for which i need your help so please can any one can help me ? i want to know what is the best fsb rate that i can achieve with 4gb and Q6600 which can give me best out come .Is that possible to get together for the FSB: DRAM 1:1 on it
thank you

Re: Overclocking Q6600 with best fsb / ram 4GB
You must need to get FSB 2 times do it for your FSB: DRAM 1:1 on it. With Stock your Q6600 FSB is 266MHz, so you need to push up to 533MHz running to get to 1:1.
Re: Overclocking Q6600 with best fsb / ram 4GB
What you can do is the multiplier of the Q6600 on 8, or maybe 7 (just try or stable) and then automatically generate a higher FSB if the total (2.4 GHz stock) to retain approximately Try different once a multiplier of 8 with an FSB of 333MHz to start, then run your memory at 667MHz all (PC5300 normally). If that works go a step further eg 7x400 (2.8 GHz) and memory at 800MHz so run (PC6400) or 8x375 (3ghz) and memory at 740Mhz. Be cautious and do not give too much vCore, just do steps vise. Is nice to see your Q6600 to 3ghz stable on to get a lot more from your quad core. I have too, running here at 3555mhz (9x395mhz) and Memory 1:1 (790mhz) 4-4-4-12 timings.
Re: Overclocking Q6600 with best fsb / ram 4GB
32 bit Windows can support 4GB of RAM ... BUT, the steering system must support it called PAE (Physical Address Extension) to go over the 3GB (or 3.5 GB, it is shown). Q6600 ram support is good basically cpu and ram relation is different.also The get that the type of memory that you already need more voltage to its max speed factory to get? Try these settings :
VCore 1.375
Vddr 2.0
FSB 400
Multiplier 6
Memspeed 800
Timings on auto
Vdroop protection you need to set (default is off)
Cpu spread spectrum off
Rest you can leave on auto.
