.xps files get open in Firefox on Windows Vista
I had installed Windows Vista on my system. The probelm is that when ever i try to double click on my XPS file, it automatically gets open up in the default web browser i.e. Mozilla Firefox. As there are no Firefox plugin on my system, as the browser automatically asks me to save the file on my pc. Can any body tell me that why i'm having such problem on my pc? Does any body knows about this issue? Kindly help me out to resolve the above issue.

For that click on Start menu, tehnn click on Run amnd then type "optionalfeatures.exe" and press ENTER key. It will exapnd your "Microsoft .NET Framework 3.0" on your system, then just enable the "XPS Viewer" checkbox, and then click on OK tab.

I think you can't view it on your Firefox. The opearting system tries to use Firefox in order to open the XPS on your pc. Then, Firefox prompts you to Open or Save the file. However, if you choose Open, then Firefox prompts you to Open or Save the file on your pc.

You need to just follow the below steps mentioned.
1. First of all download the Internet Explorer tab addon, in order to replace your Firefox.
2. Then install it on your pc.
3. Now set up a url similar to this one:- /^file:\/\/\/.*\.(xps)$/
That's it and now when you will click on XPS file, it willl get open up in Internet Explorer tab and it will try to load it.
