I'm having a Mac system, which i had connected to another Mac system through a router. Somehow, i'm unable to host my Warcraft 3 game. I'm using the port 6112 on my Mac system and i'm can't to open it. So,can any body tell me that how do i open my port in order to host Warcraft 3 game? Does any body knows about it? Kindly help me out to resolve the above issue. Would be grateful to you if any body helps me out to resolve the above issue.
If your using a firewall on your system, then you may experience problems hosting. Your Warcraft 3 may require an open port inside your firewall in order to communicate with other users.
So, you want to open one of those ports inside your firewall, you need to add "The Blizzard FAQ" to all the ports, but you would require one per computer. Warcraft will allow you to configure your game port on the OPTIONS menu. Try to set the game port to a number between 6112 and 6119. If you have multiple computers, each computer will require a different port number.
In order to setup your port forwarding on your router, your computer needs to have a static ip address. You have to set the router in such a way that it should receive a static ip address on it.
