Dell Dimension 9200 restarts with beep
I have Dell Dimension 9200 in which ntldr file is missing corrupt or compressed and because of that it gives me an beeping voice while restarting my laptop, I have search for that same beep error on different site but not get anything, I have also even try changing the ram slots same with the voice card but does not happen anything. If anyone one has any suggestions please let me know. Also let me know is there any specific beeping codes are available for each error message so that i can search myself in that way..
Re: Dell Dimension 9200 restarts with beep
Yes, absolutely nltdr may be a problem but nltdr boot bootblock which is located at start up files itself reset fix system replace repair. If you are getting error messages from your system like nltdr is corrupt boot.ini or nltdr is missing or compressed then either you way you have to download that same file from the internet or you may get that file in the CD available with the system pack.
Re: Dell Dimension 9200 restarts with beep
It not like that each beep has some codes but there are Error codes with their listing and have a specific characteristics so we could not assume that will have different beep every code, beep would be same but may have different error codes. sometime it may happen that beep would be assigned just to know that system has logged on..:bleh: and nothing else.
