Can anyone tell me what is this? Should I replace some dll files? Can anyone tell me how to solve this issue? I am using Pentium 2 with TNT2 64 pro card and directx 9 version.
Re: appcomp.txt file after Crashing PC game Messiah on windows xp sp2
Incase thats the directx 7 with Windows 95/98 version, then try to install and play that using 95/98 Compatibility mode. If you want to install a program using Windows XP's Compatibility Mode, hold down SHIFT as you insert the game CD, use My Computer to browse to the setup program, and then skip down to step 1 in the list below:
To run an installed program using Windows XP's Compatibility Mode, first right click the program and "Send To..." / Desktop (create shortcut).
- Right click on the shortcut to the program.
- Click on Properties.
- Click on the Compatibility tab.
- Click on Run this program in compatibility mode and select one of these:
- Windows 95
- Windows 98
- Windows NT 4
- Windows 2000
- Under Display settings, check mark the mode that you think that is best:
- Run in 256 colors.
- Run in 640 X 480 screen resolution.
- Disable visual themes.
Click on Apply. Click on Ok. Double click on the program.
Re: appcomp.txt file after Crashing PC game Messiah on windows xp sp2
I have used the compatibility mode and it is set on Windows 2000. I have also added after viewing some other post on Messiah to use the -i, like this way - the "C:\Program Files\Shiny\Messiah\MessiahD3D.exe" -i. I have got all the drivers and game patches installed as well but nothing is working for me. Any other ideas? thanks
Re: appcomp.txt file after Crashing PC game Messiah on windows xp sp2
I dont use SciTech GLDirect when I had a TNT video card, but I must recommend testing the game without using it in case its causing the issue you are facing. So you have used 2000 Compatibility mode then have you also tried Windows 95 or Windows 98 Compatability mode till now?
Re: appcomp.txt file after Crashing PC game Messiah on windows xp sp2
I have tried the Windows 98 compatibility mode but without a good result and I have also conducted these test with the defaul open gl drivers when surfing the net I found the below on the net that we need to install the latest patch and run Messiah with the -p command line switch but that didnt work for me.
