Re: Unable to load web page in firefox
Try to open Firefox in safe mode (not in system safe mode by pressing F8 on restart) by following these steps:
- Click on Start
- Go to All Programs
- Click on Mozilla Firefox
- Then click Mozilla Firefox (Safe Mode)
Re: Unable to load web page in firefox
If you have problems loading certain sites like Google, Yahoo, MySpace, Facebook, etc. Then it may be a Vundo Trojan infection. Vundo Trojan is a Trojan horse that is known to cause popups and advertising for rogue antispyware programs, and sporadically other misbehavior including performance degradation and denial of service with some websites including Google, Facebook and 4chan. You can remove it by following the instruction given here.

Check the connections settings are correct. You can check connections from Tools =>Options =>Advanced =>Network tab =>Settings. Internet Protocol version 6 (IPv6) can cause connection problems on some Internet connections. It is most likely a problem with your router, firewall, or ISP. You can disable IPv6 to solve this problem:
- Type about:config in address bar
- Press Enter
- Click on I'll be careful, I promise!
- Type network.dns.disableIPv6 in the Filter textbox
- Find the entry for network.dns.disableIPv6
- Double-click on it, to change the value to true, if it is false
- Restart firefox and try again
