Re: My computer freezes after some time in Mac OS 9.0
This problem is occuring may be due to extension conflict in your system. You need to disable the extensions while you start your computer.
First safe boot your computer by following way :
Restart you computer.
After when you got the chime sound, press and hold the Shift key on your keyboard.
Leave the key as you see the Apple Logo
If your system startup then the issue is with the extension conflict.

Try to start your computer by a startup tool. Like floppy disk or a CD.
If nothing happens disconnect all your external devices for eg.SCSI devices, USB devices, printers, etc. If your computer starts after disconnection all the external devices it means that there is a hardware with outdated driver.
It is also possible that there would be a SCSI ID or software conflict. Or may be your USB is making the pc freeze.

Your system is freezing may due to some hard drive conflict. Try one of the step below :
First update your hard disk driver. If the computer start up then there is no issue with the hard drive.
Then do a clean installation of system software. If you system runs properly the one of the file in the system folder was unusable.
If even things don't work. They try this.
Get the third party disk utilities. Reformat the drive and restore from recent backup.
