Word 2007 taking much time to open a file
Hi,,i use MS Office on my Vista computer. I work for a company where my job profile is to make word documents with lots of images, similar to any powerpoint presentation, but in Word 2007. I cant explain you why i have to make it in word. My problem is that the documents i make with images takes long long time to open, bcz of that i have to wait even to read the text of the documents. Is there any solution or suggestion for it.

That is obvious that Word slows down quite a bit when displaying the graphics or images. But in this case i can suggest you to use placeholder option to display the document text quickly, then get the images to display later. This results in Word displaying boxes where your graphics would normally appear and your text will be displayed faster. To use placeholder, go through this steps:-
1. Go to the Word option by clicking the Office Button on the top left corner.
2. Once the dialog box appeared, click on Advanced in the left pane and then under Show Document Content you will find the Show picture placeholders.
3. The check box will be empty, Just mark that check box and click OK
Thats it. now when you will open this document you will a box in place of the images and text will be displayed soon.

If you need to get back the images, just repeat the steps and uncheck the box that is for Show picture placeholders. Thats it !!
