hi,
1 - Dual Core Processor Intel ® Pentium ® T4200 (2 GHz, 800 MHz, cache 1 MB)
2 - Intel ® Core ™ 2 Duo T6400 (2 GHz, 800 MHz FSB, L2 cache 2MB)
What is the difference between these 2 Proc (for laptop use)
Thank you in advance

hi,
as far as i can tell, the only difference is the 4200 has 1mb of l2, and the 6400 has 2mb. theyre both 45nm penryn @ 2ghz with 800mhz fsb.
As you pointed out, we are in the presence of a Pentium, and a C2D ... Both are clocked at the same speed and use the same FSB. For where it against change, in addition to the architecture is in the cache of the beast, 1MB against 2MB.
The T6400 will be a bit more powerful thanks to its extra memory cache. You may be able to feel the difference in some applications more demanding than others.
There shouldn't be much of a difference between the two. The only advantage the t6400 has is more l2 cache but it's not enough of a increase to justify the increased cost In my opinion.
