Using Internet Explorer gives Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library Runtime Error
Hi All!
I am getting an error message when trying to use internet explorer. The message says that "Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library. Runtime Error: C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\IEXPLORER.EXE" also says abnormal program termination.
Can Anyone help with this....?
Re: Using Internet Explorer gives Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library Runtime Error
Hi,
Which version of Windows?
Which version of Internet Explorer?
Is the ActiveX application compatible with those versions?
Is the ActiveX control necessary?
Check the bank's website for a "Help" or "Contact us" link.

HAD THE SAME PROBLEM FOR 3 DAYS - JUST FOUND THIS -- REMOVE THE GOOGLE TOOLBAR -- AND IT WORKED, EVEN WITHOUT REBOOTING BUT I PLAN TO REBOOT NOW JUST TO MAKE SURE!
1. Go to Start>> Control Panel>> Add/Remove Programs.
2. Scroll the list until you find "Google toolbar for Internet Explorer".
3. Remove the program and reboot your system.

May be problem is with Norton
I recommend that go to norton's site to investigate further
OR
With windows' indexed search feature :
then should open Computer Management, double click Services And Applications, right click 'Indexing Service' and click STOP.
it has no ill effects - using indexing services just makes finding files fractionally faster.
