internet setting for China mobile phones
Internet setting for China mobile phones
- Go to your phone settings or setup menu
- Find the "Data Networks", "GPRS", or "Cellular Internet" settings, On some phones, these settings are on your web browser's menu
- Create a "New Connection" or "New Profile",The name of the profile can be anything (e.g. "China Mobile")
- For the APN (Access Point Name) enter "CMWAP".
- Leave the "Username" and "Password" fields blank
- Try opening up your web browser
If you are still unable to access the internet through your browser, your phone may be unable to detect some of the network settings. Try setting these values manually:
- Set the Gateway IP to 10.0.0.172
- Set the Port to 80
- Set the connection to "Always On" or "Timeout: Off".
Mobile internet is charged by data transferred, not time online, so the connection can remain open at all times.
Internet Settings on Symbian S60 v3
Go to Settings,
under settings look for setting wizard.
If you are starting the wizard for first time then just hit next twice & you will get all the required GPRS, MMS etc.
To cross check, go to Settings > Phone settings > Connections > Access Points. You should be able to see the downloaded settings.
If you have previously entered the menu, you won’t be presented with the above wizard. In this case, go to the Operator submenu inside Settings Wizard & then you will be requested to manually select which settings you wish to download.
