Re: Windows x64 Xp No Hide Desktop Icons
Hello , Check This Out it May Solve Your Problem ,
Quote:
Click Start>Run, type regedit, click Ok, drill down in the registry to
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Curr entVersion\Policies\
Explorer]
On the right side you have a list with 4 items, I added the last myself since I do not use Recent Documents...
ForceActiveDesktopOn
NoActiveDesktop
NoActiveDesktopChanges
NoDriveTypeAutoRun
NoRecentDocsHistory
Double-Click each of the above listed and edit the Value data field, set it to 0 to disable the effect and set the number to 1 to enable a setting.
Mine are setup like this:
ForceActiveDesktopOn 0x00000000 (0)
NoActiveDesktop 0x00000000 (0)
NoActiveDesktopChanges 0x00000000 (0)
NoDriveTypeAutoRun 95 00 00 00
NoRecentDocsHistory 0x00000001 (1)
When done reboot and the right-click option is back again.
Also double-check here if the above does not work although it should.
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Curre ntVersion\Policies\
Explorer]
