Set a webpage as your desktop wallpaper
Do you know that you can display a webpage as your desktop wallpaper? Yes, you can and without using any third party tools. To do this follow these steps:-
1. Open Notepad application.
2. Type in the below code in the opened Notepad.
<iframe src=”http://www.techarena.in” width=”100%” height=”100%”></iframe>
Here replace 'techarena.in' with your favorite site (if any!).
3. Next, save the file with extension .html (ex: techarena.html) on the desktop.
4. Right-click on Desktop > Properties > Desktop > Browse and open the saved page.
5. Now read your favorite site without opening the browser. Enjoy!

Unfortunately this tweak works only in Windows XP operating system and we can’t do the same in Windows Vista & 7 due to some restrictions.
Re: Set a webpage as your desktop wallpaper
For Vista, you can try this steps for the same:-
- Right click on the desktop and select Properties.
- Click on the tab Desktop at the top and then "Customize Desktop" at the bottom.
- Now click on the tab Web. Click New and copy the URL of the webpage that you want to set as the wallpaper.
Windows will start downloading the necessary files and once completed, you can maximize the page to cover your whole desktop background or only a part of it. You can schedule Windows to automatically synchronize or update the page. Now consider the various useful things you can do with it.
