Task manager no longer appears
Here are safe handling:
- It is recommended that you back up the registry.
- Open Notepad (Start> All Programs> Accessories> Notepad)
- Copy and paste the text that lies between the two spaces below:
Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00
Code:
[-HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SOFTWARE \ Microsoft \ Windows NT \ CurrentVersion \ Image File Execution Options \ taskmgr.exe]
- Save this file in: Office
- Filename: fix.reg
- Type: All Files!
- Click Save.
- Quit Notepad.
Re: Task manager no longer appears
Sometimes the task manager no longer appears (because of an infection often) and does not display a message "Task Manager has been disabled by your administrator" either with Ctrl + Alt + Delete or through Start Menu> Run> type taskmgr then validate.
Use File: fix.reg:
Double-click the file (Office) / Accept the warning about the merger / Do not be surprised not to see / Validate the message that the merger is completed.
Normally, the task manager can be opened again.
